Ordering and Payment
Once you have chosen your piece of Sea Maiden Gem Jewellery you can either pay with PayPal or by cheque, email me with your requests if you don’t have a PayPal account, it’s no problem at all. A cheque will require 5-7 working days clearance. The cheque must be made payable to Sarah Stonehouse. Please note that orders will be sent once payments are cleared and I will inform you by email of delivery. Any commissions will require an advance deposit of 50% and balance must be paid on completion of your jewellery.
Postage and Packaging
Your jewellery will be carefully packed in tissue and placed in an organza bag then put into a bubble wrap bag. It will be sent to you by special delivery next day and the package will need to be signed for on arrival. Items will be posted to you once payment has been fully cleared. The cost of UK postage and packaging is £6, international is £10. I am very happy to send your parcel on a particular day as with special delivery, it is guaranteed next day delivery. If it is a gift and you would like it sent to a different address this can be arranged along with a pretty gift card if required please let me know your requirements. Please note I may from time to time re-use bubble bags to save on the environment. Jewellery boxes are available at a charge. Please contact me for details. If you live locally, you can collect your jewellery, if pre-arranged, and payment of cash can be arranged at that time.
Returns
If for any reason you wish to return your order please inform me within 7 days of receipt. Please note there will be no refunds given on earrings or specially commissioned items. However, on ordering please contact me for details of individual pieces and I will be happy to help answer your questions. A refund will be given, less the postage, when the items are sent back in the original packaging and condition. I would recommend your use special delivery postage, as I will not take responsibility for any loss or non-delivery of items and consequently no refund can be given. If for some reason your order arrives damaged please inform me immediately. Any repairs will be done free of charge within 30 days. There will be a charge if any repairs need to be done after this time.
Other information
It is important to remember that SeaMaidenGem jewellery is hand crafted, often being unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. I endeavour to show clear photos of every item, however, they are enlarged to show detail and it is best to check that the actual measurements meet your requirements before making a purchase. Measurements may be approximate. Quite often it is possible to adjust my jewellery to suit you, but accurate measurements must be sent by email as no responsibility will be taken for wrong measurements. Sometimes the colours of gems and lampwork or pearls vary due to the light the photo is taken in. However, SeaMaidenGems always endeavour to reproduce as near to the original as possible. I am always very happy to help if you are unsure of anything ~ please don’t hesitate to contact me. Special care must be taken when wearing lampwork jewellery as it has to be remembered that it is glass. Although the beads are annealed, dropping them from a height could result in damage. There may be some imperfections in certain gemstones, called inclusions, this is to be expected, as they are a natural product made by wonderful Mother Nature herself and not man made! Remember some may be a few million years old..amazing isn’t it !
